General Electric Lead Engineer - Verification & Validation in Wuxi, China
Job Description Summary
As a Lead Engineer - Verification & Validation, you will define, perform and document software system level verification and validation activities to ensure the design meets its requirements. As a Lead Engineer, this role will require working within design team and other cross-functional project team to determine the verification scope, develop the strategy and plan for both New Product Introductions (NPIs) and Installation Base (IB) to ensure the effective and quality design and verification.

Review and challenge the software system level and detailed design requirements for scope, risk, suitability and testability.
Create and execute Verification and Validation plans, Procedures, perform tests, and document Verification Results.
Perform exploratory and stress testing to challenge software design quality.
Work with global software design team to identify opportunities for automation within software agile development process.
Set up automation testing environment, writing automation scripts and implementing software applications.
Document any design defects (product non-conformances) discovered. Interfacing with other engineering disciplines to research, correct, and close design defects.
Participates in a cross-functional team supporting design reviews, FMEAs, hazard analysis and risk assessments to ensure high standards are met.
Drive testing involved early and often in the design process to ensure design flaws are identified as early as possible.
Interaction and alignment with the various stakeholders in the project team.
Capability of management of multiple verification tasks at the same time according to the assigned priorities.
Maintain technical skills and awareness of test technical innovations.
Flexible to change and strive for continuous personal development and test process improvement.
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
2+ years software design or 3+ years software test experience with electronic/medical devices/automation systems/computer control systems.
3+ years’ experience in software automation testing using Squish and Python.
Hands on experience in writing and maintaining the automation scripts, developing automation framework.
Excellent knowledge in testing skills (requirement analysis, design test plan, writing test cases, executing test cases, opening bugs, verifying bugs).
Design Controls experience; particularly in the areas of Verification and Validation.
Demonstrated experience working with a multi-discipline team.
Demonstrated leadership, verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Demonstrated written and oral English skills.
