Job Description Summary
The Electrical Engineer for Ultrasound Probes is responsible for the research and development, productization of electrical design for Ultrasound Probes.
The position works to identify and execute strategic quality engineering efforts in addition to driving cross-functional engagement of quality project initiatives. This role requires the interaction with production, service and design engineering teams in order to ensure the product quality goals set forth by the business.

Duties include (but are not limited to):
Developing innovative designs to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, service, cost and manufacturability
Designing new products and/or supporting Installed Base of Analog and/or Digital (may include FPGAs) electrical circuit boards, components and interconnects
Leading design visualization efforts with Electrical CAD (Cadence) and Simulation tools (e.g. PSpice, LTSpice,..)
Defining and executing component design verification
Engaging in all phases of new product development, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support
Working with technical leadership to ensure that the technical deliverables are consistent with the goals of larger programs, projects or initiatives
Developing and maintaining electrical subsystem quality and engineering project funnel
Influencing cross-functional teams to implement quality actions
Driving reliability plan for electrical design based on customer usability. Developing the transfer function between usability and reliability plan, executing and brining design improvements as needed
Conducting analysis of installed base and new product reliability using FMEA, Weibull Analysis and DFR tools
Leading quality engineering projects that provide imaginative solutions to engineering and customer issues
Maintain and develop competence required for the job
BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience with 8+ years of experience or Master with 5+ years of experience
Knowledge of standard drafting practices, product structuring, electronics modeling and drawing practices, and engineering analysis techniques
Knowledge of power electronics, integrated circuit design, control system design, programming, simulation & test Experience with full product cycle from concept to stable production
Low and high voltage DC and AC circuit designs are also required
Experience with reliability testing with Weibull Analysis and other Design for Reliability tools will be better
Demonstrated program/project planning capability
Demonstrated project leadership and influencing skills
Global project experience with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task
Ability to meet aggressive reliability, performance, cost, serviceability, and delivery targets
Six Sigma green belt or black-belt certification.
