General Electric Business Operations Leader (m/w) in Wunstorf near Hannover, Germany

Role Summary:

The objective of the Business Operations Leader is to provide technical support, guidance and training to all regions in the pursuit of meeting the Radiography Systems financial and growth obligations to the business. The Business Operations Leader will work in close collaboration with the x|plore Global Commercial Operations Leader and the global Applications Team.

Essential Responsibilities:

Within a geographic area responsible for selling product(s), services, parts, solutions, or projects. Leads the development of business plans for a specific product or product line. Complex products and systems requiring technical knowledge and knowledge of the environment where the products and systems will be used. Cooperates with technical colleagues to answer customer requests and discuss local conditions. Department is involved in medium-sized sales.The role will include but not be limited to:

  • Global technical Sales support – requiring 20% to 30% travel

  • Own the ITO phase of the R process

  • Chair/host the R1 review – track the R1s that have been approved/rejected/need more data

  • Help guide the global sales team members through the creation and approval of the ASE; help liaise with functions to ensure consensus and sigh-off; support the creation and approval of the technical aspects of proposals

  • Host the R2 meeting; support the Sales team to get deals approved

  • Provide input to the Growth Strategy Playbook (GSP) – ensure the timely and realistic input by the regions

  • Support the global Sales entity in the various NPI Business Reviews (BR); ensure aligned and accurate data from all regions

  • Develop KPI dashboard to measure the “Road to $363M”

  • Support the quarterly Convertibility Orders (CO) review and Management

  • Chair and be the decision maker in the monthly S&OP calls regarding slot allocation; liaise with the Regional Sales team to ensure Supply Chain alignment to ensure no missed deals due to capacity

  • Operational Rhythm Leader for Rad Systems

  • Mentoring the regions in the optimal technology solutions embracing the whole portfolio


  • BSc. degree in economical engineering, electrical or mechanical engineering, physics, material or equivalent knowledge

  • Experience in dealing with complex machines preferably Sales oriented in the field of X-ray Testing system or other Non Destructive Testing modality Desired Characteristics:

  • Knowledge in Process Control as used in large scale companies

  • Experience and proficiency in proposal preparation and customer relation
