This role is for x|plore inspection services within the Radiography Systems product line of Inspection Technologies. The product line will expand its commercial portfolio in services by creating a holistic managed inspection services offering and significantly expanding the after-sale product portfolio. The tasks include managing the newly created business unit for inspection services and services developing comprehensive service offerings such as CSAs, upgrades, spare part and repairs.
The new role will have general management responsibility for both areas. Managed inspection service includes but is not limited to payed application service, training, consulting, and temporary equipment rentals. Core responsibility areas are the creation of the service product roadmap, managing the global inspection service and CSC strategy and footprint, working with key customers and strategic partners, commercialization and promotion, and implementing radiography systems services roadmap.
Accountability for functional, business and broad company objectives.
Develop and implement product line inspection service and services roadmap and collaborate with other GE business units.
Develop a business model to drive profitable inspection services growth for x|plore franchise
Implement commitment targets and ensure successful execution utilizing the cross-functional teams and clear investment case
Assess the global resources and customer solution center needs to drive fast paced growth in inspection services business
Integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, be involved in long-term planning, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Develops the year plan for the own function, the basis of the framework of the strategic plan for the whole unit.
Drives initiatives to improve the effectiveness and interfaces with other functions to provide effective coordination of metrics, dashboards, functional processes, and cross-functional initiative coordination. Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge and experience
Services and/or finance experience
Project planning experience Desired Characteristics:
Ability to work under pressure, handle deadlines and multiple priorities
MBA desired but not mandatory
Ability to understand customers' needs and concerns
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Prior experience with Radiography / NDT industry would be a plus
Knowledge of business trends in the industry and market is preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills
Six Sigma training is preferred
