Job Description Summary
General Manager of a joint venture between GE and a China based partner.
As a senior business leader, the General Manager will have full P&L responsibilities include formulating overall strategy, managing people and establishing policies. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping our people develop and be productive, while ensuring overall profitable growth.
Roles and Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day business operations, including P&L and EHS leadership
Display thought leadership on business strategy and set goals for growth
Act as main point of GE contact with JV partner, building relationship and developing shared objectives and actions
Influence policy and ensure delivery of key business goals, including linking with other functions of the organization
Evaluate and improve business operations and financial performance
Ensure employees work productively and safely and develop professionally
Lead others to find creative solutions to address complex problems that may impact the organization.
Required Qualifications / Characteristics
Degree level qualification from an accredited university or college, with significant experience in Business Management & Business Operations leadership.
Excellent written/oral English language communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to work effectively across functions, and to motivate, coach & inspire others
Customer focused, enthusiastic and proactive
- Broad knowledge across the area of Monitoring & Diagnostics for electrical substation assets and/or in the wider power systems value chain
