General Electric Lean Manager in Wroclaw, Poland

Job Description Summary

The role supports plant operations in the development,

planning and execution of Lean strategies and metrics providing support to various levels throughout the organization in order to link project metrics to strategy objectives by using the lean tools. This position requires proven lean experience with manufacturing industry background. The role requires an individual that is able to facilitate and drive change in a fast paced and “ever changing” environment leveraging strong interpersonal skills. Key to success in this position is the ability to identify and drive operational improvements

at all levels utilizing a very “hands on” approach to creating value.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Track and update project milestones and help to identify and resolve issues,

  • Provide associates a good understanding of Lean tools and processes,

  • Ensure that project teams apply appropriate Lean tools and techniques,

  • Collect and analyze process data, help identify solutions, and implement improvements,

  • Link Lean activities to the business objectives and develop transformation plans in collaboration with site project teams,

  • Implement and monitor quality improvement procedures and practices,

  • Develop and communicate of best practices for continuous improvement methodology in a manner that influences organizational thought and behavior,

  • Lead value stream mapping, process flow and line balancing studies to identify bottlenecks and eliminate waste,

  • Facilitate process of both internal and external audits,

  • Develop and write policies and procedures for manufacturing processes, includes quality, production, paperwork flow, product flow and waste control,

  • Coordinate and facilitate Lean committee meetings,

  • Ensure up-to-date Lean information flow among plants,

  • Track and report key metrics on lean activities.

Desired Characteristics

  • Bachelor Degree

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Lean transformation in manufacturing,

  • Ability to develop a clear, long-term strategy for Lean including vision, milestones and measurable results,

  • Knowledge of power industry and understanding of manufacturing processes,

  • Ability to lead, manage and communicate with all levels of operation,

  • Leadership experience,

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects,

  • High level of interpersonal (written and verbal) communication skills,

  • Ability to perform with minimal supervision and direction,

  • Organizational and problem-solving skills,

  • Good interpersonal skills in a team environment.
