Responsibilities in the scope of the job include preparation of proposals/bids, contract negotiation and compliance with contract commitments and commercial risk assessment for service for rotating equipment (Steam Turbine / Generator) in Steam Power Plants especially for the German speaking market. Operates with some autonomy but covered by well-defined Commercial policies.
Role & Re sponsibilities :
Develop proposals; may negotiate with customers in compliance with contract commitments and commercial risk assessment; ensure deals deliver shareholder value; drive competitive pricing. May include compiling and submitting required tender documentation.
Utilizes technical depth and knowledge for Rotating Equipment (Steam Turbine / Generator) to collaborate effectively and productively with supporting functions and sales to develop proposals.
Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
Perform and ensure that Terms &Conditions are properly reviewed, mitigated and associated risks are identified and approved
Owns commercial process for compliance and documentation of the commercial process while ensuring we meet customer deliverables.
Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems with projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customers. Ability to prioritize information for decision making. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
Prepare and conduct clean project hand-over to execution team
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from an accredited university or college
Significant experience in Commercial Operations, Sales, or Tendering
Strong knowledge of Steam Turbine & Generator related products and services
In depth working knowledge of the commercial proposal and contracting process
Expertise in proposal preparation and presentation
Fluent in German language (capable to perform negotiations in German)
Fluent in English
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Integrative team working style
Conflict management skills
Knowledge of the German Power Service market (would be additional benefit)
