Job Description Summary
Site controller for Strother overhaul shop. Responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate financial reporting and analysis. Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others.
Responsible for US GAAP Financial Reporting and liaison with both external and internal auditors
Understand and interpret applicable Enterprise Standards, SOPs and Process Maps to ensure GE reporting is fairly stated
Monitor and drive account reconciliation completion and review
Site lead for general ledger accounting, closing and reporting processes
Lead quarterly Balance sheet reviews, including pre-close and deep dives
Manage deliverables of support teams including but not limited to Controllership, Buy to Pay, Intercompany and Cash, providing guidance and support
Ensure safeguarding of Company assets by ensuring effective oversight of the Annual Physical Inventory and Fixed assets count process, including addressing control gaps that give rise to count discrepancies
Drive simplification opportunities such as MJE reduction, streamline upstream process impacting finance cycles/ account balances
Support cash flow forecasting process and reporting, providing oversight on balances, including inventory, receivables, AP, Sundry, P&E and other key drivers of cash and reporting cycles
Support treasury related matters and information request from the government or other external parties
Partner with Aviation Tax team and Transfer Pricing COE to support transfer pricing documentation and billing
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting / Finance from recognized University with minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
High level of personal integrity with a strong compliance and controllership mindset.

Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues and an understanding of how operational processes impact the business financially.
