General Electric Senior Regional Outage Manager, GEH Northeast in Wilmington, North Carolina

Role Summary:The Senior Regional Outage Manager, GEH Northeast will serve as single point of contact for GE Hitachi Nuclear at GEH Nuclear Sites in the Northeast. The Regional Outage Manager Entergy Northeast is responsible for all GE Hitachi Nuclear Services field deliveries, and performs the duties of Project Director during the periods leading up to, though, and following refueling outages.

Essential Responsibilities:As the Senior Regional Outage Manager, GEH Northeast you will:

  • Provide support to the onsite operations, Outages, and projects at GEH’s Nuclear Customer sites. Customers include but not limited to First Energy, PSEG, Entergy, Talen, and Dominion

  • Be responsible for all aspects of project delivery for Field Services Projects including ITO & OTR

  • Act as the onsite single point of contact for all GE Hitachi Nuclear business with the Northeast Nuclear utilities

  • Attend customer meetings where GE Hitachi is a stake holder

  • Participate in and lead continuous improvement activities related to refueling outage improvement

  • Provide oversight and direction of the GEH project managers assigned to support Entergy North Projects

  • Enforce GEH project controls procedures to ensure project success

  • Assist Entergy in planning, scheduling, and budgeting for all GE Hitachi Refueling Outage Activities

  • Ensure GE Hitachi Programs improvement programs are being implemented at Northeast Nuclear utilities (e.g. Human Performance, Foreign Materials Exclusion, Lessons Learned, etc.)


  • High School Diploma / GED

  • Minimum 5 Years of experience in GE Hitachi Nuclear Field Services core functions


  • Able to gain unescorted access to any Nuclear Power Plant located in the United States

  • Ability to work extended hours for durations needed to support refueling outages

  • Willingness and ability to travel 70% of the time as required

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience as a project manager during nuclear refueling outages

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred

  • Experience as a Project Manager or Project Director of BWR Refueling Outage Activities

  • Strong decision making skills

  • Self-starter and highly organized administrative skills

  • Six Sigma Green Belt training is preferred (GE employee only)

  • Prior GEH Nuclear Field Services experience preferred

  • Knowledge of GEH systems, products, services, and processes

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Familiar with the GEH “Corrective Action Process”

  • Familiar with Foreign Materials Exclusion program requirements at a Nuclear Power Plant
