General Electric Senior Operation Management Staff Manager (Business Leader) in Wilmington, North Carolina

Job Description Summary

The Senior Operation Management Staff Manager will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives while integrating and developing processes that meet business needs across the organization. The Senior Operation Management Staff manager will be involved in long-term planning and contributing to the overall strategy and managing complex issues within functional areas of expertise.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Willingness to learn and exhibit servant leadership to support lean transformation activities

  • Drive lean transformation efforts within area of responsibility

  • Demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes

  • Establish and implement team strategies, programs and practices to achieve world class manufacturing inventory turns and process flow

  • Drive measurable improvements in productivity and product flow

  • Manage an operation, business, unit, or part of a production facility in order to reach defined targets in safety, quality, cost and delivery

  • Ensure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards

  • Team management of salaried employees which includes Front Line Leaders (coaches) who oversee hourly employees

  • Develops action plans and research planning on an annual basis

  • Contributes to business programs of a considerable part of a function or a business unit and to midterm plans

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or institution (OR a High school diploma / GED with a minimum of 10 years experience in skillset)

Plus a minimum of 5 years in skillset

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
