General Electric Program Manager, SMR Innovation in Wilmington, North Carolina

Job Description Summary

In this role, the Program Manager, SMR Innovation will lead a cross functional team to identify and deliver new innovative features to our SMR offerings. In this role, you will manage program activities related to the development of innovative Small Modular Reactor offerings for GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy. You will work collaboratively with the Product Director to define requirements and deliver high quality outcomes. The ideal candidate has a passion for nuclear energy, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to translate and communicate complex requirements effectively and clearly.

Job Description


Responsible to deliver new innovative, high-value features to our SMR products to enhance performance, lower cost, reduce licensing risk, and improve the manufacturability serviceability of the SMR designs. Act as an interface between customers and the internal business team, including the product team, project delivery, engineering, marketing, quality, licensing, and senior leadership. Ensure timely resolution of issues, keeping the customer and leadership advised of the program progress.


Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Product Management, design engineering, manufacturing, or product marketing).

2 years Program Management experience, preferable in the Nuclear or Power industry

The salary range for this position is $143k-$191k USD. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
