Job Description Summary
The Senior Project Manager BWR Owners’ Group is responsible for proposal development, meeting planning and facilitation and management of internal and external resources to complete BWROG Projects. In this role, you will manage preparation of reports and presentations in support of BWR Owners' Group activities to improve plant operations, and maintain and improve plant safety and lower plant operating costs through products and the exchange of information.
Roles and Responsibilities
Project management of all job activities on assigned projects and coordination with appropriate functional groups
Serve as single point of contact for assigned BWROG Committee Chairpersons and other utility managers & executives as well as industry agencies
Represent GEH at BWROG meetings & teleconferences
Maintain assigned Committee budgets and drive optimization through strategic focus on industry issues, while leveraging GEH and broader GE competencies
Implement process improvements to deliver high quality products on schedule and demonstrate the value of GEH to the BWROG
Bachelor's or master’s degree from an accredited university or college
6 years of experience in a project management, engineering, or other technical role
6 years of experience with BWR technology
Plant site operational experience applying technical knowledge of BWR
Proven results in project management of complex projects
PMP or equivalent designation desired
Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to effectively interface with customers and facilitate productive meetings
Excellent proposal preparation skills, Customer Centricity, Presentation & PC skills
Knowledge of Nuclear / GEH products, processes, customers, markets, and competition
Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
Considers the external impact of business activities and decisions on customers, market / industry, investors, media, government, and communities
Takes action to enhance GEH reputation among the stakeholders & represents the company well
Possesses strategic capacity to sift through complex information and focus on critical priorities
