General Electric Advanced Nuclear Operations Leader in Wilmington, North Carolina

Job Description Summary

The Advanced Nuclear Operations Leader will provide operational oversight, drive continuous improvement through LEAN, and assist leadership in executing our Global Product Strategy action plans as we develop and commercialize our portfolio of SMRs and advanced reactors.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Install or update the Daily Management System plus Leader Standard Work for all salaried workers.

  • Drive Problem Solving rigor across the organization

  • Improve how we run the business through value stream improvements

  • Interface with the business Lean Leaders to drive consistent process rigor

  • Represent Advanced Nuclear in the GEH Kaizen Promotion Office (KPO)

  • Manage the Advanced Nuclear Hoshin Kanri action plans

  • Develop and implement enhanced visual management to increase transparency, performance and delivery of customer value

  • Work with Product Management, Project Delivery, Engineering, and Sourcing to refine the Product Development process

  • Support optimization and business coordination across all functions, including Sales, Project Deliver, Engineering, Sourcing, Quality, and Licensing.

  • Drive excellence in our corrective action program

  • Ensure the team is assigned and completes training in a timely fashion

  • Represent the Advanced Nuclear Leader in key meetings (internal and external) as required, including presenting at the business Monthly Operating Reviews

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or related field from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations, project, program, or Lean management

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong financial acumen and accountability

  • Proven leadership experience

  • Nuclear industry experience or power generation industry experience

  • Masters degree from an accredited college or university

  • Highly developed communication and influencing skills

  • Experience in transforming complex data into valuable strategic insights

  • Experience in establishing a vision and translating it into meaningful tasks and activities for others to execute

  • Ability to build consensus across numerous organizations

  • Experience in ITO processes and negotiations

  • Passionate customer service orientation

The salary range for this position is $143k-$191K . The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
