The Product Quality Program Manager provides leadership and support to improve product quality across the EA Tubes organization. This position will focus on product quality through data analysis and issue resolution. This person will be responsible for driving the EA Tubes Product Quality Program through coordination with Manufacturing Engineers, Product Quality Leaders, and Design Engineering.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead the plant-wide effort to reduce scrap and improve product quality by identifying root causes and solutions for quality defects.
Provide leadership and coaching for the manufacturing engineering and product quality leaders.
Drive site strategy and mechanisms for use of Lean Six Sigma and PSR’s.
Leads large, cross-team projects to drive standardization, stability, and simplification in processes. This includes providing change leadership Change Acceleration Process (CAP) methods and tools.
Coach the manufacturing engineering organization on the tools and practices required to drive day-to-day improvements in the quality of our processes including implementation of process monitoring and digital tools.
Work with design, manufacturing, and NPI teams to drive changes that will reduce quality issues and result in higher long-term reliability.
Leverage our supplier quality and material resources to make real improvements in the quality of supplied materials.
Work seamlessly with the QA/RA team to improve product quality while meeting our customer, business and regulatory commitments.
Quality Specific Goals:
Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
Knowledge and understanding of production process
Work Instructions and operates within them to ensure that a device conforms to its specifications
Ensures the creation of accurate, complete and timely records and DHRs
Bachelors Degree in Engineering and 7 years of supply chain experience or HS diploma and 10 years of product quality/supply chain experience
Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes
Strong Program Management and communication skills
Ability to build and promote organizational change management initiatives
Proven ability to simplify strategy into simple actions
Demonstrated ability to make decision effectively and create focus
Leader who has the vision and courage to pursue big ideas, encourage smart experimentation, and innovation to solve complex process issues.
Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills
Black Belt or Master black belt certification
Lean manufacturing experience
