Job Description Summary

GE Healthcare is in need of a new Maintenance and Facilities Manager to lead efforts related to Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) plans, and recommend actions for preventive maintenance and corrective action. In this role you will resent product and program strategies, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders across the broad scope of maintenance and facilities planning. You will also coordinate with GE Sourcing related to facility contracts and services

Lead team responsible for facilities project management including capacity related efforts.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that equipment and tools are in good condition for use. Propose plans for preventive maintenance and corrective action.

  • Requires specialized knowledge within the function. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.

  • Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.

  • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.

  • May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or technical discipline with a minimum 5 years of experience in facilities, maintenance management or operations; will consider an Associate’s Degree and a minimum 7 years of experience in facilities, maintenance management or operations; in lieu of degree will consider High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum 10 years of experience in facilities, maintenance management or operations

  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience that includes managing people/teams.

Desired Characteristics

  • Advanced degree

  • Experience working with Unions strongly desired

  • Experience with TPM – Total Productive Maintenance

  • Project Management experience

  • Experience working in larger facilities

  • Experience working with teams who work 3 shift operations
