General Electric Detectors Operation Finance Leader in West Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Role Summary:

The Detectors Operation Finance Leader provides finance support to the Imaging Detector Technology Operation team. Will be responsible for operations analysis of variable and base cost for manufacturing and engineering teams, leading closing activity and preparing yearly planning and reporting. This position will also be in charge of driving controllership for plant & equipment and Inventory.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with plant manager and manufacturing team to drive analytics for base costs, variable costs, VCP projects and liquidations to improve visibility and knowledge on P&L numbers.

  • Lead financial estimate preparation in timely manners with strong accuracy from the beginning of the quarter through the closing process. Prepare multiple planning cycles for Blue Print Review

  • Ownership of plant manufacturing income statement from Sales to Operating Margin.

  • Accountable for the annual material, labor and overhead standard setting process for purchased parts and factory labor and overhead rates.

  • Drive balance sheet compliance through a strong financial control of inventory accuracy and equipment capitalization processes across Detectors Operation teams in both Waukesha and NGB.

  • Other projects/duties, ad hoc analysis and project identification as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration

  • Minimum of 2 years of financial work

Desired Characteristics:

  • FMP, CAS, MBA, CPA or equivalent

  • Strong analytical and research skills

  • Excellent computer skills; hands on experience with Excel, Oracle, Hyperion, Business Objects, and accounting systems

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to change

  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and teamwork skills

  • Trained and/or certified in process improvement methodology such as LEAN or Six Sigma

  • Previous manufacturing finance experience

  • Previous GE experience desired; preferably GEHC
