The Fleet Reliability Analyst will be responsible for working with Engineering and Fleet teams to manage Reliability projects in the CSX environment on locomotives and other systems, with a goal of identifying trends and abnormalities in faults and other data that lead to early detection.
The Fleet Reliability Analyst will partner across CSX, GE, research, Engineering, Product Management, IT, and other functions to support product development to strategically transition the business to a predictive health management and a condition-based maintenance operation.
In addition you will:
Manage customer communications, project tracking and scorecards, and implementingmodifications to test locomotives and systems
Manage and support a deck of research projects in collaboration with Services, Engineering, GRC, and the Software COE
Facilitate adoption and integration of next generation technologies to support the prognostics vision and goals
Maintain project scorecards for tracking outcomes and implementation
Make presentations to other teams and management on projects
Support and drive projects to enable condition-based maintenance in the service operation
Support the Analytics team to grow diagnostic and prognostic modeling capability through CSX projects
Make direct contact with customer and MSA team to insure project field tests are implementedand maintained
Assist customer and Shop / Field teams in implementing projects, troubleshooting project issues and obtaining feedback on the technology being tested
Use experience to identify opportunities for new projects or improvements to existing projects
Continuously embed discoveries / learning back into other business functions and project teams
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Services)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Management
Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time, as required
Strong statistical background, with analytical and quantitative skills
Familiarity with Six Sigma / equivalent Quality concepts and tools
Ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external organizations, including; uppermanagement
Ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a cross-functionalteam
Demonstrated commitment for process improvement
Strong interpersonal, influence, and conflict resolution skills
Experience in the Railroading Industry, with Railroad operations and Asset Maintenance operations
Understanding of life-cycle cost / life-time value modeling and stochastic modeling
Experience with Dash-8, AC4400, and Evolution Locomotives
Knowledge of railroad operations and maintenance practicesSix Sigma, Lean, or equivalent Quality certification
Working knowledge of i-Based Services and Systems
Working knowledge of RR information systems and databases
Knowledge of JMP and Enterprise Guide tools currently in use by Analytics Teams
Knowledge of Locomotive application principals
