General Electric Staff Technical Product Manager in West Chester, Ohio

Job Description Summary

This role is for a Technical Product Owner for a critical and complex analytics product in Aviation Services that is built on AWS tech stack . In this role, you will work closely with multiple stakeholders , digital and functional leadership to define and deliver the strategic roadmap to make the product the single enterprise solution for this analytics. The Product Owner will work closely with geographically diverse development and functional teams to deliver the capabilities needed to drive adoption for both internal and external customers while ensuring it meets the expected security, availability, and performance standards.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with digital and functional stakeholders to drive strategic vision, roadmap, and prioritization for the product.

  • Lead a geographically diverse development team to deliver on the product roadmap using Agile software development processes.

  • Follow the GE Aviation DT standards to make the product available to external customers

  • Ensure the product’s functionality, tech stack, security, availability, and performance expectations are met, consistent with an external-facing business application

  • Provide inputs into the annual budget review process and other business activities

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 2 years of professional experience (OR Associates degree with minimum of 6 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 9 years of professional experience).

  • At least 4 years of professional experience in Technical Product Management or Digital Technology (DT) / Information Technology (IT).

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience and expertise in Agile methodologies (e.g., BRP, Release Planning, Scrum ceremonies, etc.).

  • Proficiency with various agile and collaboration tools like Rally and Confluence.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and experience presenting to varied audience ranging from technical teams to Executive Band leadership with confidence and clarity

  • Knowledge and familiarity with AWS tech stack such as S3, Lambda, Glue

  • Develops and promotes the use of standard work. Leverages LEAN best practices to drive a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Experience owning and supporting a customer-facing product

  • Proven ability to collaborate with and influence multiple stakeholders to determine the right priorities and roadmap for the product

  • Actively identify and remove obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team.

  • Ability to drive engagement with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and design solutions.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to engage Executive Band leadership with confidence and clarity
