Job Description Summary

Serve as the primary owner of supplier fulfillment for GE Additive Binderjet product line. Manage supplier Capacity, Capability and Fulfillment responsibilities for GE Additive Binderjet product line throughout the transition from NPI through Global Serial production.

Job Description Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct supplier capacity, capability, and operational health analysis of target Binderjet production suppliers to support selection of long term Binderjet suppliers.

  • Manage tier 1 contract manufacturers and sub tier suppliers to assure on time delivery of production materials collaborating with Sourcing Quality and Engineering to assure qualification schedules are maintained.

  • Responsible for supplier delivery and qualification performance to assure Binderjet customer and product line schedules are achieved.

  • Lead cycle time and overall product cost reduction projects to support financial objectives of GE Additive business.

  • Negotiate supply agreements and Master Services Agreements to assure competitive pricing, pay-terms and cycle while maintaining highest level of Quality and customer satisfaction.

  • Responsible for Supplier On-Time delivery performance, Payment terms and Product/Services Cost KPI’s to support business needs and achieve highest level of customer satisfaction.

  • Manage flow down of Customer and Sourcing Quality requirements including Manufacturing process plans, Dimensional inspection reports and product/material certifications

  • Provide oversight to large suppliers or Business Process Outsourcing. Ensure Business Process Outsourcing compliance with SLAs and act as the primary point of contact on all service level issues and resolution.

  • Developing expertise within function. Growing reputation within the organization. Includes roles that are experts in their discipline, providing professional or thought leadership. Influences policy and ensures delivery within own function, linking with other functions of the organization.

  • May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Presents business solutions to leaders in functional area. Communicates complex messages and negotiates mainly internally with others to adopt a different point of view. Influences peers to act and may negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers.

  • Leads others to find creative solutions to address complex problems that may impact the organization. Has the ability to evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis. Uses multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.

Required Qualifications

  • High level of expertise with supplier management including capacity planning, compliance to contractual requirements and daily fulfillment.

  • Experience with GE Aviation policies, procedures, and process discipline.

  • Familiarity with Planning/Purchasing/Sourcing modules of ERP systems. (Oracle preferred)

  • Demonstrated track record of delivering results in challenging business environments.

  • Sourcing/Purchasing experience including supplier management and collaborative cost and cycle time reduction.

  • Experience working under tight time constraints in fast paced/dynamic environment with limited resources.

  • Master's degree or bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or Associates college degree with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

Desired Characteristics

  • GE Additive or GE Aviation Sourcing and/or production experience.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

  • Established project management skills.
