General Electric Lead Facility Management Specialist in West Chester, Ohio

Job Description Summary

Facilitate installation, maintenance, and repair of internal factory equipment. Supervise employees who perform maintenance. Responsible for planning/execution of maintaining facilities and post processing operations machinery. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Management of building maintenance and utilities of 150,000 sq ft facility

  • Supervising the Facilities Team and be responsible for the overall safety, compliance, training, productivity goals and development of employees

  • Managing service and repairs for various pieces of machinery in the shop

  • Scheduling and managing on-site contracted services, including procurement of services, and project management.

  • Project planning for facility growth and operations needs

  • Annual asset management and facility fixed asset management

  • Material purchasing, service purchasing, payment request and repeat pay for facilities work and support other purchasing needs for the site

  • Maximo administration, development of PMs and job plans

  • Facilitate site rearrangement efforts and management of change to support site lean efforts

  • Prioritize workload, establish and meet aggressive timelines for project completion

  • Provide customers with regular communications including progress updates and issue resolution

  • Be responsible for setting clear expectations for the team and driving accountability

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited University or College or a High School Diploma with a minimum of four years of experience in manufacturing

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in manufacturing, shop operations, or maintenance management
