General Electric Lead Additive Manufacturing Engineer in West Chester, Ohio
Job Description Summary
The Lead Additive Manufacturing Engineer will report to the Industrialization Leader at GE Additive and will be responsible for supporting print operations by setting up prints, performing maintenance, troubleshooting equipment, developing procedures, running continuous improvement programs, collaborating with internal and external customers.

Roles and Responsibilities
The Lead Additive Manufacturing Engineer will work in a hands-on environment to develop new and improved processes for additive manufacturing technology in support of print operations
Lead execution of in- house process improvement and lean projects
Produce prototype and low-rate production hardware using additive manufacturing powder bed fusion technologies
Lead engineer will be expected to interact with Design, EMS, Quality, Materials and external vendors.
Create routers, stand operating procedures, work instructions, etc.
Actively participates in customer reviews.
Be the technical focus for print operations when it comes to the additive manufacturing equipment and process.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 6 years experience in manufacturing or design engineering
A minimum of 4 years experience in a manufacturing role or process role.
Good communication skills and the ability to interact with customers.
Desired Characteristics
Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
Additive technology experience is a plus
Experience performing design of experiments and associated documentation
Fluency in geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T)
Experience using statistical tools and concepts (Excel, Minitab, Cpk, ANOVA)
