Job Description Summary
GE9X Lifecycle Engineering Services Leader will own the execution of our multi-year durability maturation plan, completing planned activities to meet current business plan durability and cost assumptions and identifying product improvements to improve program profitability.
In this role, the Senior Technical Leader leads projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the business or is a recognized expert in a specialized field. In this role you will be responsible for major and complex assignments with long-term business implications, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, and contribute to the overall business strategy .
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership for a team of engineers on GE9X to achieve required durability, overhaul scrap rates, and total cost.
Assure all component designs meet requirements.
Support and coordinate with interfacing organizations such as manufacturing, repair/overhaul, sourcing, services, global engineering, ATO, and systems engineering
Support service programs, repair, MCRB, fulfillment, and New Product Introduction (NPI)
Provide strong guidance and contribution to DMP and design to cost projects.
Communicate progress to all levels of the organization.
Mentor and develop less experienced personnel.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university or college
At least 5 years of engineering experience
Desired Characteristics:
Six Sigma training
Master’s degree in engineering
Strong mechanical design and analytical background
Familiarity with manufacturing & repair processes
Ability to drive projects to completion.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers.
Knowledge of Services/MRO network, durability audit procedures, fleet model requirements, and NPI Tollgate process
