General Electric Evendale Dock Manager in West Chester, Ohio

Role Summary:We are looking for valuable leadership to add to GE Aviation headquarters! The Dock Manager will directly supervise up to 8 employees and perform the daily operations of the plant to ensure reliability and consistency across the Evendale site. The person in this position will report directly to the Senior Operation Management Staff Manger and will have the opportunity to be a part of exciting initiatives regarding process improvement.

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition, as the Dock Manager, you will:

  • Supervise up to 8 employees who will be heavily involved in the distribution logistics

  • Be a part of process improvement initiatives revolving around distribution and logistics

  • Coordinate the distribution of material throughout the entire Evendale campus

  • Communicate with the 2nd shift supervisor on a daily basis to ensure smooth transition between day shift and night shift

  • Coordinate the outbound shipments with appropriate teams

  • Be expected to resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise

  • Work together with people from different business units

  • Be involved in the planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues

  • Present to internal teams on metrics, project status, and research

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)

  • Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Materials Planning and Execution
