General Electric VP - Transformation Office in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin

Role Summary:

Our new VP – Transformation Office will be a key thought leader in driving all levels of strategy, vision and execution to deliver on a world class digital technology org for GE Healthcare. Responsible for modernizing the execution strategy, introducing product management disciplines and managing the global program portfolio for the function. Manages, coordinates and coaches Technical Projects managers and partners with functional stakeholders to ensure expected outcomes from IT investment.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Lead the transformation for GE Healthcare from a project management focused to full lifecycle product management organization

• Define and drive consistency in execution methodology, invest in tools and techniques to enable agile program delivery

• Coordinate DT internal change management plan(Comms, CAP, ETC)

• Implement & inform resource allocation as defined by Group CIO

• Build and lead a Software Engineering team in GE Healthcare

• Activate organization vision & report progress to CIO

• Collaborate with business and functional partners and technology leadership to define strategic and tactical roadmap of IT initiatives

• Evangelize new opportunities possible with technology investment; challenge status quo and drive data/digital disruption

• Help define and prioritize IT projects targeted to deliver most business value

• Manage financial and resourcing constraints; define budgets and targets for individual projects and annual plans for the entire organization

• Outline multi-generational project strategy aligned to deliver on the expected outcomes

• Coordinate internal and vendor Technical Project Managers executing various projects across multiple programs

• Coordinate allocation of Project Managers and technical resources

• Support execution team with resolution of roadblocks and interdependencies.

• Partner with leadership of technical and functional teams external to the organization to ensure sufficient support and engagement

• Manage executive stakeholder communication and progress reporting

• Guide project teams through decision and pivot points as required

• Track project outcomes realization and customer satisfaction levels through established metrics against service level. Ensure lessons learned are collected

• Perform initial and final financial reviews, and ensure ongoing budget tracking

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or Engineering or 4 years of IT technical experience

• Minimum 15 years of IT professional experience

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Software Development Project Management including large portfolio and financial management leading cross functional initiatives and large organizations

Desired Characteristics:

• Proven experience of working with executive-level stakeholders to define overall IT strategy and managing large portfolio of projects

• Track record of driving IT innovation and technology-driven business outcomes

• Experience managing budgets including annual budgets and large scale projects

• Strong leadership skills with ability to influence outcomes and organize teams to attain shared goals

• Excellent influencing, interpersonal and communications skills (both written and verbal) with all levels of an organization

• Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and / or industry activities

• Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources

• Experience working with others on a global basis

• Applies knowledge to coach and mentor others

• Demonstrated customer focus – evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer, builds strong customer relationships, creates processes with customer viewpoint and partners with customers to help shape their future initiatives

• Strong analytical and strong problem solving skills -communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions, anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve, creates actionable strategies and operational plans

• Change oriented – actively generates process improvements, champions and drives change initiatives, confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, balances multiple and competing priorities and executes accordingly

• PMP, ScrumMaster or related Project Management certification
