General Electric Ultrasound Systems Architect in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin
This position has design responsibility to deliver customer workflow, feature functionality, product quality, reliability, serviceability, manufacturability, regulatory, compliance, and cost. Activities include requirements development, traceability and flow down, CTQ identification and flowdown, architecture / system design and analysis, FMEA, developing/executing System V&V procedures, and providing support to manufacturing and field issues for complex topics.
Responsible for requirements development, traceability and flow down, architecture / system design and analysis, FMEA, developing/ executing System Verification and Validation test procedures, and providing support to manufacturing and field issues.
Participate in software implementation for innovative future ultrasound projects using MATLAB and .
Provide domain expertise to serve as the main integrator between the hardware and software functions to deliver the best high quality ultrasound product.
Work across functions and team boundaries to define, design, and implement the next generation of products.
Work with customers, Marketing and field personnel to refine requirements which can be refined by the engineering teams.
Develop methods to quantify subsystem interactions and their effects on image quality.
Deliver and incorporate feedback results into new hardware, software and service specifications. Design system architecture with an emphasis on the software components for innovative ultrasound projects.
Lead continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives.
Develop timely and effective solutions for challenging design problems. Qualifications/Requirements:
Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Ultrasound, Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field, and two (2) years of related experience in ultrasound.
OR PhD in listed fields without experience
Position requires ultrasound physics and signal processing knowledge at a graduate level.
Software proficiency in both MATLAB and . to include creation and debugging large code sets (in both languages.) Desired Characteristics:
Master’s degree plus 5 years work experience in ultrasound.
PhD plus 2 years work experience in ultrasound.
