This software & enterprise architect role will be part of the HFS Global Digital Technology team and responsible for designing software strategies to build and shape technology solutions for GE Healthcare Financial Services (HFS) global & cross functional platforms.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities :

  • Developing architectural patterns & techniques, coding standards (cross technologies such as Microsoft, java, bpm, salesforce), etc. Performs design and code reviews to approve software designs and drive adherence to the developed coding standards. Participate in the Enterprise Architecture governance model.

  • Architect, Design, Build & maintain both new and existing product features. Build and own solutions end-to-end with Product Owner, development team and HFS Global & Cross functional business partners to deliver value.

  • One of the critical goals for this role is to bring software design principles + cloud application design experience to implementing a robust software architecture for the next gen HFS global platform by bringing cloud, modern full stack web technologies, micro services, containers, docker, responsive design, etc. together, in collaboration with other enterprise architects.

  • The role also contributes to improve DevOps KPIs on code quality & security, test automation, coverage, traceability, and CI/CD.

  • Evaluate requests for enhancements and determine potential impacts with the current system design/configuration. Analyze business requirements, gather and analyze, identify gaps, develops architectural requirements, propose alternate approaches based on current & future digital trends.

  • Provide application support and maintenance of existing customizations and application functionality. Triage/debug production issues (Data, Code, Performance, etc.), identify root cause and corrective actions. Dive into crisis situations and any Production issues, trouble-shoot, engage with internal application teams and own the problem resolution

  • Good understanding and interest in UX principles, rapid prototyping and presenting conceptual design and working prototypes to business team.

  • Excellent team player with a passion and drive for creating solutions with cutting edge technologies. Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in product development and/or operational support activities.

  • Document technical designs, development standards, best practices, groom user stories, etc.

  • Work as part of a dynamic highly functional Agile team participating in all scrum ceremonies with business and technical teams for a rounded perspective on the solution and creating the impact to our customers

  • Coach and mentor team members

Qualifications/Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience in designing full stack cloud-based platforms using Microsoft, Java or similar contemporary tech stack.

Desired Characteristics :

  • Hands on experience in Cloud application design, delivering microservices based architectures and design in one of the cloud providers (preferably Azure).

  • Experience in Containerizing apps in Cloud utilizing Azure services

  • In depth understanding of Azure Dev-Ops and CI/CD pipelines for containerized microservices & Git experience

  • Cloud Solution Architecture certification will be considered a definite plus

  • Full stack programming skills - In-depth understanding and hands-on experience in designing and building web-based applications using modern loosely coupled micro service-based architecture, technologies like C#, ASP.NET, Angular/React, Responsive front-end UI frameworks, Microservice Orchestration, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, API design, Auth Integrations, Entity Framework, etc.

  • Solid Server side & database development using RDBMS like SQL Server or NoSQL databases like mongo dB, etc.

  • Experience with BPM tools & Workflow management is a plus.

  • Keen interest to learn current and emerging technologies and passionate about application architecture.

  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or equivalent quality certification

  • Demonstrated ability to work with and/or lead blended teams, including 3rd party partners and customer personnel.

  • Proven analytical and problem resolution skills

  • Ability to influence and build consensus with other Information Technology (IT) teams and leadership
