General Electric Sr Staff Enterprise Architect - Workday in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin

Role Summary:

You will be the lead enterprise solutions architect on the GEHC HR Digital team, responsible for GEHC’s Workday technology strategy and architecture as well as our Payroll/Benefits capabilities. In collaboration with GEHC HR domain experts, our Systems Integrator (SI), shared corporate and HC teams and other key groups and stakeholders, you will be responsible to lead the design and provide technology ownership of GEHC’s workday implementation and subsequent ongoing upkeep and expansion

Essential Responsibilities:

As the Sr Staff Enterprise Architect – Workday, for Global Human Capital Management (HCM) focused on Workday, you will have a unique opportunity to shape the future of the HR function for GE Healthcare as we transition to Workday, our new Human Capital Management (HCM) ‘cloud’ solution. This role isn’t for the faint-hearted ... you’ll disrupt, re-imagine and deploy technology solutions for contemporary HR practices and processes across the globe.

As a key leader in the HR DT Architecture and Integrations team, in this role you will:

• This role will require ownership and understanding of Workday’s core architecture, configuration & integration capabilities and its interactions with non-workday solutions

• Have overall accountability for managing technology strategy, roadmaps and technical-related issues and risks for GE Healthcare’s Workday Platform and Payroll/Benefits Solution.

• Review/Analyze platform changes (including release notes), and support Product Managers, Integration & Data teams on the planning and execution of capability rollout

• Lead technical design discussions with key IT and Non – IT stakeholders, including 3rd Parties to architect and define technical solutions including Hiring, Learning, Data & Analytics, Workforce Management to support Workday implementation and ongoing Ops.

• Work with functional process owners, regional subject matter experts, and a systems implementation partners to define creative technical solutions maintaining necessary connections to legacy platforms through the planned deployment period

• Be an integral part of the GE Healthcare Workday implementation team and provide technical leadership and oversight, including crucial hands on guidance when needed to support timely implementation of the solutions.

• Establish governance for new capability implementation within Workday, including configuration standards, guidelines. Represent & Lead HR DT function in GEHC Enterprise Architecture Governance process

• Act as technical thought leader for all things Workday & Payroll/Benefits – Establish & Collaborate with a strong network of Workday experts to bring external ideas and solutions to GE Healthcare. Nurture emerging GEHC talent in this space to build future technology leaders for HC.

• Ready to engage and resolve challenging Workday issues - at build and during critical Ops Incidents

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree. STEM preferred. Masters preferred.

• Minimum 8+ years’ or relevant experience

• Demonstrated Enterprise integration and architecture skills including technology evaluations, integration strategy, design , architecture and development

Desired Characteristics:

Technical Expertise:

• This role will require ownership and understanding of Workday’s core architecture, configuration & integration capabilities and its interactions with non-workday solutions

• Hands-on, Workday and HCM solution experience, and/or architecture of complex HR ecosystems

• Practical understanding of end to end payroll process and technologies including vendor nuances, country/regional variations and payroll accounting reconciliations to finance/GL.

• Sound understanding of HCM domain, including adjacent functions such as Finance, Cost Mgmt. and sourcing.

• Hands-on experience in multi-generation technology planning, convergence and rationalization

• Experience in executing under scrum/agile framework

• Adopts a holistic systems perspective. Empathizes with multiple points of view but able to drive to decision.

• Challenges program/product planning assumptions.

• Strong understanding of employee data structures and downstream systems , and streamline data flows

• Strong business analysis, problem solving, and strategy development skills
