We are looking for a Software Solutions Architect to join our growing LCS Service Technology team to help develop a next generation service technology platform for all LCS product. The Solutions architect leads design of the LCS digital service technology architecture. The Architect is responsible for driving technology strategy and overall LCS wide architecture of the digital service technology platform including application workflows, data, tools, and services. You will work closely with other architects, Chief Engineers, Senior Product Management, and Business Leadership at executive/technical levels to collect requirements, create/refine strategy, to formulate/drive the LCS Digital Service solutions and Ecosystem technology roadmap that require in-depth domain knowledge in the Cloud Native space.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead, drive, and own the LCS Digital Service technology system architecture

  • Define the data, workflow, and services needed to support customer needs

  • Drive hybrid cloud / distributed compute architecture for LCS wide service technology solutions

  • Work other peers in service and other LCS architects to develop, maintain, and drive the service technology roadmap

  • Partner with program management to define and drive implementation of technology into LCS NPI programs

  • Work with service operations, modality service engineering, Engineering software teams, and field personnel to develop service technology requirements to be implemented by the engineering teams

  • Offer suggestions to refine, streamline, automate & enable advanced service capabilities

  • Lead concept & technical design reviews

  • Ensure the conceptual completeness of technical solutions

  • Leverage knowledge in advanced technical areas with input from relevant cross functional stakeholders to solve complex problems

  • Work with patient/customers/service and/or program leadership to ensure that project deliverables are consistent with the goals of larger programs

  • Provide leadership, technology guidance and mentors others throughout their domain

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or Biomedical Engineering or equivalent discipline.

  • Minimum of 7 years of software design & development

  • Minimum of 3+ years full-time experience in software architecture with emphasis on scalable native cloud solutions

  • Expertise in Cloud native, distributed computing systems architecture and IoT (Internet of Things) technologies.

  • Experience using Microsoft Azure IoT (Internet of Things)

  • Experience building native applications and distributed compute solutions a multi-cloud environment.

  • Experience with high availability, security, data privacy, in an enterprise environment Experience building and deploying technology platforms.

  • Effective communication skills and boundary-less behavior—ability to present ideas clearly and concisely

  • Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task

  • Proven ability to develop timely and effective solutions for challenging design problems

  • Demonstrated problem solving ability and results orientation

  • Demonstrated technical depth with problem-solving techniques

  • Demonstrated ability to make recommendations to technical and program leadership to improve a product, process, or technology Demonstrated ability to pursue tasks to completion

Preferred Characteristics:

  • Master’s Degree in Electronics, Biomedical, Computer Engineering or in an equivalent discipline.

  • Experience with Healthcare medical devices and technology systems

  • Practical, hands on experience with Agile development methodologies & tools.

  • Experience with digital solution concepts such as SW virtualization, SW containerization, connectivity protocols, microservice architecture, application design, data analytics

  • Experience in creating and managing product roadmap and features Able to work well with global teams, including time-zone flexibility

  • Experience interacting directly with customers
