Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Work with global cross functional teams to gather requirements and voice of customer for the design and development of new and innovative solutions.

  • Have familiarity with all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle, from requirements gathering through design, implementation and testing.

  • Experience with software development using C/C++, C#, .NET or Java, in a Microsoft Windows environment.

  • Experience with Windows Desktop and Server editions

  • Experience with Agile software development

  • Interacting with global teams to promote consistency and maximize synergies across common software platforms

  • Designing and building strong testing infrastructure to minimize dependency on hardware availability

  • Leveraging DFR for software and Agile and Lean software development methodologies to drive reliability and predictability throughout the product development life cycle


  • Bachelors in Engineering or Computer Science

  • 5+ years in Microsoft Windows or web development

  • 3+ years of product development

  • Object Oriented Design Experience

  • Configuration management tool experience such as GitLab, Perforce, TFS, or equivalent

  • Experience in stress testing and performance analysis & tuning of OS sub-systems.

  • Experience with virtualization environments such as VMWare or HyperV.

Desired Characteristics

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science

  • Preferred candidate to live in Milwaukee area

  • Database and application performance tuning

  • Experience with Schema design and design patterns principles

  • Service Oriented Architecture and Web development experience

  • Experience with Cloud Native design patterns (Containers, Dockers)

  • Experience with test driven design, automated unit testing (JUnit/NUnit), automated system level testing

  • Global team experience

  • Experience in software development in the medical field.

  • Knowledge of GE Healthcare processes and engineering tools

  • Demonstrated experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) regulatory compliance processes

  • Previous GE experience
