Job Description Summary
Designs, programs, documents, tests, and fixes bugs involved in creating and maintaining applications and frameworks involved in a software release lifecycle resulting in a digital product. Impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. The role is subject to operating policy objectives. There is moderate autonomy within the role. High levels of operational judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.
Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development
Apply principles of SDLC, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring, and Testing Techniques in alignment of Healthcare domain
Clearly articulate architectural goals
Evaluate design choices and arrive with optimal design with rationale
Realize and work around key architectural constrains
Identify key components / modules and abstractions and interfaces
Ability to identify re-use opportunities
Identify internal and external interfaces
Define and decide development technology and platform
Collaborate with other architects and stakeholders
Assist in the analysis, design and development of a roadmap and implementation
Driving engineering efficiency by standardizing development tools and environments
Coaching and mentoring engineers towards engineering excellence
Lead and contribute towards ATD (Advanced Technology Development) to evaluate new business opportunities and positively influencing MIC product roadmap
Bachelor's Degree/Master’s Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with 10 years of experience.
Proficient in C++ / C and features of templates and Object-oriented design and UML
Experience designing and developing peripheral driver such as to control I2C, SPI, UART (etc.)
Hands on Knowledge in Embedded Linux development (Yocto)
GUI development framework, Qt/QML, JAVA, signals and slots paradigm
Knowledge in REST based Microservices, Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge of Design Patterns and anti-patterns
Experience in working with Networking stack and hands on experience on DDS (Distributed Data Service)
Knowledge on IoT & cloud technologies (5G/Cloud Computing)
Exposure to Python / ML / DL technologies
Good understanding of Healthcare Networking standards like HIPPA, IHE, HL7 & DICOM
Working knowledge of dealing with cybersecurity requirements
DEPS process, Threat modeling
Vulnerability mitigation and management
