Job Description Summary
Responsible for activities and processes that help the sales organization achieve business objectives through optimized sales territory design. This role will impact approaches, projects and programs within functional area in order to create standard work and governance around sales force deployment. This individual will be guided by commercial practices and policies that may be shaped by the role and will have significant control/influence over commercial priorities. As a result, a high level of commercial judgement is required to achieve desired outcomes.

Roles and Responsibilities
Sales force effectiveness through Sales territory design and productivity analysis
Allocation of resources and territory coverage, sales incentives, Salesforce CRM platform and tools. Cleans and maintains data in Commercial and other core systems (CRMs, SFDC, ERPs, etc.) for correct territory sizing and opportunity identification
Developing specialized knowledge of latest commercial developments in own area and communication skills to influence others. Contributes towards strategy and policy development and ensures delivery within area of responsibility
Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with other commercial activities. Has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market. Has experience with territory design tools such as Javelin
Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems within projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, campaigns or customers. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
6+ years of experience in Sales/Services, Operations, or related Compensation & Benefits experience
Demonstrates effective influencing skills across business functions and levels within the organization
Ability to deliver difficult messages, defend decisions, and make judgment calls
Experience leading a team
Desired Characteristics
Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
Established project management skills and ability to drive and accelerate change
