Job Description Summary

The North Central Region LCS Pricing Leader will utilize their business acumen and analytical ability to evaluate and approve pricing for sales quotes. The Pricing Leader will develop pricing strategies for key accounts and competitive deals by collaborating closely with regional leadership and account teams. They will partner with key internal functional stakeholders to drive profitable and compliant solutions. Individual will drive and support LEAN and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

The person in this role will have responsibility to:

  • Review escalated quotes, change orders, and contract discounts while adhering to pricing guidelines and best practices regarding margin, compliance, promotions, and the above.

  • Utilize knowledge of the opportunity, customer, and competitive landscape to develop and structure pricing for competitive deals.

  • Utilize in-depth commercial knowledge of own and other sales territories, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customer groups to enforce policies policy and execute on strategy.

  • Prioritize, compile, and analyze pricing and opportunity data. Utilize results of analysis to inform decisions.

  • Fully understand and be able to effectively communicate short and long-term consequences of pricing decisions. Build upon previous knowledge to inform future decisions.

  • Build and leverage a cross-functional network in a highly matrixed organizational structure to support decision-making and troubleshoot problems.

  • Be available during critical periods of the sales cycle.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Logistics or related field or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in finance, sales operations or other analytical commercial position.

  • Previous experience in pricing management strongly preferred

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Solid business understanding and commercial insight

  • Complex problem-solving skills

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • High attention to detail

  • Proven analytical ability. Must be fluent in Excel
