General Electric Lead Service Integrator, Ultrasound Digital Ecosystems in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin

Job Description Summary

Works within a cross-functional team to deliver new products and solutions to GE Healthcare customers. The position owns and drives all service deliverables in digital ecosystem programs. Within a program, ensures service deliverables are delivered on time, within scope and budget and with desired quality.

The GEHC Ultrasound business consists of ultrasound consoles, handheld ultrasound devices, and ultrasound digital solutions across 6 different market segments. As customers’ needs for more and consistent digital solutions continue to grow, the market for digital ultrasound solutions advances. Our mission with Ultrasound Digital Solutions is to develop a seamlessly connected world of devices and software that creates additional value to end users and customers beyond devices alone. Solutions will connect clinicians, increase user confidence, improve efficiency, and provide affordable cloud solutions across customers segments and demographics. We are looking for a Lead Service Integrator to join our Digital Ecosystems team to ensure customers have the best service experience with our digital solutions.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Own and execute service deliverables in digital ecosystem programs

  • Define service requirements as applicable, including installation, serviceability features, customer service support process, upgrade process, and service manuals

  • Support the Program Manager, ensuring that service deliverables integrate properly within the product or program. Optimize team performance across the program value chain, functionally and technically

  • Proactively manage cross-functional interdependencies that relate to or interact with service features, or customer service delivery to maximize team efficiency and avoid gaps/delays during program execution. Anticipate integration issues and discern appropriate actions to progress the team forward

  • Connect planning and cross-functional impacts of product NPI, or maintenance program

  • Utilizes technical knowledge, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute program strategy

  • Has knowledge of best practices to how service features integrate into digital products; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

  • Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated service delivery processes and features

  • Uses technical experience and analytical thinking, internal and external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions

  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience

  • May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

  • 6+ years of technical & professional experience in software development project management, leading cross functional initiatives, and/or large global projects (OR Master’s degree with 5 years of experience)

  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Wisconsin

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Desired Characteristics

  • Proven experience using project management methodologies to drive new product development programs and solutions in a regulated industry

  • Awareness of Agile development processes

  • Experience with design requirements, flow-down, verification & validation, and traceability

  • Awareness of software design principals, cybersecurity principals, cloud development, mobile application development, edge computing, and medical device interconnectivity technologies

  • Expert in navigating through ambiguity, removing roadblocks, prioritizing conflicting requirements

  • Understands Medical Device Software Design Principals, requirements for meeting various country regulatory clearances, and demonstrates awareness of industry dynamics

  • Leadership skills with ability to influence outcomes and organize teams to attain shared goals

  • Experience leading and working with global teams

  • Excellent influencing, interpersonal and communications skills (both written and verbal) with all levels of an organization
