General Electric Global Product Manager Handheld Ultrasound in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin

Job Description Summary

The Handheld Ultrasound Global Product manager in this role is responsible for innovative and impactful product launches globally for the rapidly growing Vscan product line. In addition, this person will drive the global growth strategy of the existing handheld product portfolio with the regional sales and marketing teams and interface with the supply chain and manufacturing teams to ensure on-time delivery.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Handheld Ultrasound Global Product Manager in this role will focus on new product launches as well as driving global growth of the existing product portfolio with the following responsibilities:

New Product Introductions (NPI)

  • Close collaboration with the global product manager responsible for NPI development and product development team, cross-functional team, and regions to create innovative and impactful global product launches.

  • Work closely with each region to develop a region-specific Handheld Ultrasound growth strategy.

  • Drive regional clearance strategy and priority together with the engineering and regulatory teams.

  • Partner with Service to ensure service offerings are presented and sold at point of sale to benefit our customers and GE.

Product Installed Base Support

  • Drive short-term forecast accuracy with regions to enable proper volume signals to our supply chain and prepare long-term forecasts as input for factory capacity planning during annual planning process (S2).

  • Control inventory levels through management of demo units and coordination with the Supply Chain team.

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Manufacturing to ensure on-time delivery (OTD) of product to our customers.

  • Responsible for Handheld Ultrasound customer feedback surveys used to determine Net Promotor Score (NPS).

  • Track and drive lean metrics for Handheld Ultrasound product line.

  • Provide continuous customer feedback to product team.

End of Product Life (EOPL)

  • Manage EOS and EOL program planning with engineering, service, and supply chain teams.

Quality Specific Goals

  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.

  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

  • Lead continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 or more years experience in product management or marketing.

  • Demonstrated skill in managing global product launches.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems.

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

  • Requires up to 50% travel

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Desired Characteristics

  • MBA or equivalent degree with technical, clinical, or marketing undergraduate degree.

  • 8 or more years of product management and product launch experience.

  • 5 or more years of experience with Ultrasound product management, product development, or clinical experience.

  • Experience managing financials including business cases, budgets, and spend.

  • Proven track record of successful product life-cycle management.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions, anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve, creates actionable strategies and operational plans.

  • Change oriented – actively generates process improvements, champions and drives change initiatives, confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, balances multiple and competing priorities and executes accordingly

  • LEAN training and experience with examples of application.

  • Excellent team player, experience leading and working with global cross-functional teams

  • Excellent influencing, interpersonal and communications skills (both written and verbal).Able to effectively present/ articulate to senior leaders, engineering teams and other cross functions

  • Self-starter - requires minimal direction to accomplish goals, energizing, and results oriented
