Role Summary:

This role implements event/exhibit programs in the Americas region and reports to the America’s E&E leader and supports Marcom Managers and Regional Feld and Marketing managers. The position provides planning, shipping, coordination, staging, install and dismantle support for events and exhibits. The exhibits/events specialist is responsible updating the global show calendar as well as collecting and tracking key ROI data to help measure event and exhibit performance. Travel can be up to 30+%.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Uphold GEHC events and/or exhibit standards

• Provides vendor selection guidance

• Determines best materials and technologies to use

• CVENT Proficient

• Shares best practices across teams

• Own and manage global events and/or exhibits calendar

• Keeps events and/or exhibits teams current with latest trends

Key responsibilities include (but not limited to) specific to Events:

• Develops basic event plan including venue selection and negotiation

• CVENT Registration site creation, management and budget details

• Coordinates venue and staging needs

• Purchase and budget tracking

• Measure event performance and ROI

Key responsibilities includes (but not limited to) specific to Exhibits:

• Execute Develop common floor plan templates

• Execute Develop show planning templates

• Help exhibits shared services to evaluate their work and modify plans

• Develop tiered exhibits strategy to lesson dependence on legacy style executions

Qualifications/Requirements:

  1. Bachelors of Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field required

  2. 2+ years’ experience planning and implementing trade shows/events and a demonstrated track record of developing award-winning trade shows

  3. Familiarity with digital trade show and marketing tools

  4. Experience with audience engagement

  5. Proven communications skills, both verbal and written

  6. Proven organizational, project, and planning skills

  7. Budget management

  8. Ability to interface effectively with all team levels (including executive)

Desired Characteristics:

  1. 5+ years’ experience planning and implementing trade shows/events and a demonstrated track record of developing award-winning trade shows or events

  2. Experience in healthcare or pharmaceuticals would be a plus

  3. CVENT certification and/or CTSM (Certified Trade Show Manager) certification

  4. Experience in working with diverse global teams and directing multiple vendors

  5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  6. Basic design/engineering skills
