General Electric Events Specialist in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin

Role Summary:Ensure smooth and efficient support to the Global Events/Customer Programs Shared Services team. Responsibilities will be broad and changeable in nature ranging from coordinating or leading special exhibit/event projects, arranging customer visits, hotel contracts, invoice processing and sunshine act reporting. The role ensures consistency across all P&Ls/Regions, as well as provides planning, shipping, coordination, staging and logistics support for all events, exhibits and customer visits.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • • Provide calendar, meeting, and customer logistic management

  • • Coordinate customer travel arrangements and logistics

  • • Support with general office administration

  • • Support teams by training or supporting others on event and visit technology and tools

  • • Inputs departmental invoices and helps manage budget inquires by working closely with the financial support manager

  • • AST Super User proficient with Sunshine Act working closely with GEHC compliance teams and processes

  • • Assists in the coordination of ongoing budget/maintenance and product placement within all showrooms

  • • Coordinating customer visit programs and customer travel logistics with customer program team

  • • Works closely with Customer Programs Coordinators and acts as backup when needed

  • • Implementing events and/or exhibit standards (where applicable)

  • • Customer programs and event operation needs (where applicable)

Quality Specific Goals:

  1. AST Super User

  2. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position

  3. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines

  4. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required


    1. Bachelor’s Degree of Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field required
    1. Knowledge and expertise in Sunshine Act/ GEHC AST Super User
    1. 1+ years’ experience planning and implementing travel logistics and event planning
    1. Experience with customer and sales engagement
    1. Proven communications skills, both verbal and written
    1. Proven organizational, project, and planning skills
    1. Budget management
    1. Ability to interface effectively with all team levels (including executive)

Desired Characteristics:

    1. Experience in healthcare or pharmaceuticals
    1. Experience in working with diverse global teams and directing multiple vendors
    1. Ability to work effectively in a fast paced team environment
