Job Description Summary
The digital product manager for Primary Care Ultrasound will be responsible for enabling AI and other digital solutions for primary care products (both handheld and traditional) via organic development as well as via partner collaborations. Working closely with the device product managers and other business stakeholders, you will maximize value from digital solutions over the lifecycle of the portfolio and deliver on key business metrics. This position reports to the Director, Digital Portfolio.
In this role you will:
Support expansion of digital solutions (including AI applications) for the Primary Care ultrasound portfolio (both handheld and traditional products) by contributing to digital strategy and roadmap definition
Identify potential partners and collaborators aligned with our needs; Lead the assessment, selection, and on-boarding process; support execution of contracts.
Take wing to wing responsibility for commercialization of third-party solutions on PC ultrasound products including development support, evaluation with customers, working with engineering and cross functions for acceptance testing and regulatory filing (when required), as well as with marketing for launch efforts.
Ensure customer focus by communicating and building rapport with customers as required and ensuring the “voice of the customer” is reflected in all digital solutions designed, built, and delivered
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer needs, market and competitive analysis, regulatory requirements, and other factors into portfolio strategy and detailed design inputs
Define and own business cases, develop and adapt business models as required in collaboration with Digital Portfolio Leader
Support team execution by resolving roadblocks, and organizational interdependencies
Manage stakeholder communication and progress reporting at various levels of the organization including leadership and executives
Track metrics, budgets, programs, and projects using Lean principals
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in product management, product marketing, product development and/or related field, leading cross functional product life-cycle management, and/or large global projects (OR Master’s degree with 6 years of experience)
Must be willing to travel as required
Must be willing to work out of an office located in Wisconsin
Demonstrated experience in digital solutions development, understanding of the digital healthcare market, including AI applications and workflow solutions.
Knowledge of software development processes, AI/Machine Learning applications, and edge computing, cloud development, mobile application development
Awareness of ultrasound market dynamics, customer needs, and enterprise healthcare environments
Proven track record in successful product launches and product life-cycle management
Experience managing financials including business cases, budgets, and spend
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions, anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve, creates actionable strategies and operational plans
Change oriented – actively generates process improvements, champions and drives change initiatives, confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, balances multiple and competing priorities and executes accordingly
Excellent team player, experience leading and working with global cross-functional teams
Excellent influencing, interpersonal and communications skills (both written and verbal). Able to effectively present/ articulate to senior leaders, engineering teams and other cross functions
Self-starter - requires minimal direction to accomplish goals, energizing, and results oriented
