General Electric Clinical Accessories - Operations Manager in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin

Job Description Summary

In this global role, you will support the implementation and deployment of an efficient customer centric distribution model for the Clinical Accessories business. You will interact with manufacturing, commercial and product teams.

to ensure on time shipment of clinical accessories and coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments). This role is critical as it impacts the team’s ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Partners with Support functions to ensure efficient execution of operations plans

  • Manage master planning, material processes and systems, to secure on time shipment and customer satisfaction across the Clinical Accessories Portfolio

  • Provides input and insights in the development of policies, guidelines and procedures to ensure customer requirements are timely met

  • Ensure operational alignment with production, finance, and product operating plan and KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements.

  • Point of escalation for any problems, issues or adjustments as required to complete the financial and operational targets.

  • Requires specialized knowledge within the function. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.

  • Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.

  • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.

  • May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field

  • 7+ Years of management experience in Manufacturing/Distribution

  • Experience with Warehouse Management and Enterprise Resource Systems (Oracle is a plus)

  • Experience with Data Analytics tools (Oracle, Tableau, Smartsheet)

  • Proven success in improving fulfillment and distribution models

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
