Job Description Summary

Role Summary/Purpose: Support Product/Segment CEOs & General Managers to drive a world class customer experience and maximize franchise, lifecycle revenue and contribution margin. Define and champion the service aspects of the NPI roadmap for the SBU, insuring service initiatives are included and readiness across the regions upon release. Drive product-specific material and labor productivity initiatives across the lifecycle. Influence and lead investment discussions to enhance product reliability, serviceability, productivity, new service features that enhance contract capture rates, and coordinated end-of-product life management. Own the global management of FMI’s for the modality / segment. This includes partnering with the regions to ensure timely execution of FMI’s and recalls. Key metrics of interest include revenue, margin, reliability targets, service features adoption, O&U strategy, Install, warranty and contract CTS, VCP, parts inventory vitality & OTD, ELF and other service or customer experience metrics.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities :

Product strategy input to drive customer value, growth, contract capture, productivity, & service IP protection

Understand service market, scope, and competitive product performance and offerings

Drive Design for Service (DFS) strategy, technology & features, product hooks, remote diagnosis digital capabilities, & connectivity strategy

Input to and involved in SaaS and any other lifecycle revenue topics at SBU level

Predicate product analysis involving field feedback

Business case & ROI analysis for feature and VCP requests

Installed Base Lifecycle Strategy & Profitability

Develop the global service IB portfolio strategy for growth opportunities and identify key needs to deliver service IB capture, price, VCP and aftermarket sales opportunities

Drive / support region activation and campaigns

Understand product service financial drivers

Product strategy for O&U, accessories, Goldseal

Product-enabled service growth programs (fleet manager, digital expert; tubewatch)

Deliver on VCP & CTS commitments

Customer experience & Operations support

Support CSO, GSPO, ECR escalations

Partner with TQLs on product & part quality strategy

Visibility to service delivery concerns

FMI execution support

Identify and plan to resolve obsolescence issues

End of Service Life

Drive EOSL business case development inclusive of region, GSPO, & GSRO input

Support product roadmap on portfolio decisions & service support levels late in lifecycle

Drive / support as appropriate controlled EOL product turnover to maximize IB retention


Bachelors Degree

10+ years experience in Product Management or Services

Ability to work cross functionally in a large enterprise organization

Preferred Requirements:

Masters Degree

12 +experience Product Management or Services
