Job Description Summary
Drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation. Select suppliers through qualification processes. Own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards. Own supplier audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement plans where needed. Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may influence work.

Roles and Responsibilities
Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise within their discipline. May require strong commercial awareness, and is expected to influence the development of strategy within own area, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.

Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or technical discipline.
Minimum 4 years of experience in product development.
Minimum 2 years of experience in or supporting a manufacturing environment.
Minimum 5 years’ experience with Quality Management System tools, continuous improvement methodologies and in-depth understanding of site level products and related processes.
Minimum 4 years of deep technical expertise and experience in design and manufacturing processes in computers.
Strategic planner and thinker with ability to drive change across organizations
Demonstrated competency in providing leadership and direction in regard to cross-functional aspects of technology development.
Demonstrated experience with communicating and teaching best practices.
Demonstrated expertise to effectively communicate within all levels of the organization around concepts of design control, design verification and validation activities; production and process controls; Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), complaints and risk management; and product quality improvement using tools such as six sigma, DFR etc.
Demonstrated ability to lead, acknowledge, develop, communicate, and implement a strategy to ensure compliance.
Demonstrated collaboration, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent oral communication and report, business correspondence and procedure writing skills.
Familiarity with the development of real-time embedded applications and systems on microcontrollers, FPGAs, x86, and/or ARM processors.
Knowledge of real-time operating systems (e.g., VxWorks, QNX, RTLinux, etc.).
