Job Description Summary

Program Manager for the Imaging Systems Software platforms team, focused on Imaging System Software platform definition, development, and evolution.

The Program Manager leads a global cross-functional engineering development team. The position leads definition and prioritization of program objectives, critical success factors and deliverables for the team, strategic and tactical roadmaps of platform deliverables to Imaging platform and business unit products. Additionally, the Program Manager motivates the team, drives the sense of urgency on meeting the program commitments, identifies essential resource needs and collaborates with functional managers on growing the program team through different stages of the Imaging platform evolution. As part of the PMO Team, the Program Manager collaborates closely with the Imaging Business Units and modality engineering teams to deliver quality products on time, within budget and with competitive features.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Driving program planning and multi-generational program/platform roadmap delivery for Imaging Software Platforms

  • Cross-functional project execution leadership including (but not limited to) concept discussion, program execution, clinical and pilot trials, and product field delivery

  • Driving effective communication across business units and functions globally

  • Working closely with Product Definition team to drive platforms adoption roadmap into modality products

  • Driving adoption of Scaled Agile Framework and cadence-based software development practices within Imaging Software platforms

  • Exploring and leveraging synergies with other imaging modalities (WH, CT, XR, MR, etc.) to advance Imaging Software platform goals.

  • Driving rigorous customer centric development approach and software quality

  • Leading change through creative solutions to product and system design issues

  • Working with the Business Unit and modality engineering teams to deliver quality products on time, within budget and with competitive features

  • Working with customers to solicit product feedback and leading cross-functional teams to drive customer support

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree within appropriate Engineering/Science discipline, or Bachelors Degree and 2 years of Project Management experience, or equivalent (defined as High School Diploma/GED) and 4 years progressive experience within the discipline.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in project leadership within a manufacturing, development, business, technical industry or research environment

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in operating with Scaled Agile or LEAN working environment

  • Demonstrated execution at meeting project goals while satisfying quality, performance, schedule, and budget CTQ’s

  • Demonstrated engineering knowledge, program management, and business planning processes, having experience with the full product lifecycle

  • Familiarity with ISO, FDA and other regulatory standards

Desired Characteristics

  • Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent (defined as 12 years progressive experience within engineering, science, or related field, including 8 years project leadership experience within manufacturing, development, or research development)

  • Strategic planner and thinker with ability to drive change across the business unit.

  • Sound technical and domain experience in at least one functional technology area.

  • Excellent communication, influencing skills and ability to gain buy-in for initiatives, demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally

  • Excellent knowledge in engineering, program management and business planning processes having experience with the full product lifecycle.

  • Self-starter, energizing, demonstrated problem solver, results oriented, and able to multi-task.

  • Proven mentoring and coaching abilities; demonstrated ability to motivate & inspire others.

  • SAFe SPC certified, demonstrated LEAN skills.

  • 7 years relevant industry experience preferably in a regulated software industry.
