Job Description Summary
Senior Global Product Manager - SIGNA Premier
As our Senior Global MRI Product Manager - SIGNA Premier, you will be responsible for defining the overall strategy and development of the SIGNA Premier platform to meet the needs of global 3.0T market. You will own product definition including clinical and technical capabilities, service features, upgrade & lifecycle strategies, and serves as the customer advocate for the product. This individual drives 3.0T technology innovation prior to and during new production introduction (NPI) programs. You will Analyze business/product financials to identify opportunities for revenue growth, margin accretion, and market share gain for new and installed base system offerings. Collaborates cross-functionally with marketing/sales, engineering, service, manufacturing, quality / regulatory to maximize 3.0T competitiveness within the MR industry.
Establishing the vision and defining the roadmap for development and commercialization for 3.0T technology within GE’s Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) product portfolio.
Owns the SIGNA Premier 3.0T system product throughout the NPI lifecycle including new product development, installed-based offerings, and end-of-product/service life.
Collaborating with MR segment leaders, product managers, and clinical leaders to develop 3.0T priorities, clinical and technical requirements, product differentiators, value propositions, and evidence generation
Ensure the “voice of the customer” is reflected in product decisions and roadmaps. Build external customer relationships to gather feedback on new prototypes and pre-commercial designs. Works with engineering and scientists to test and prototype new technologies and ideas.
Collaborates with key-stakeholders which, in additional to product management, include program management, engineering, marketing, sales, manufacturing, finance, fulfillment, and services teams, while ensuring compliance with quality systems, regulatory requirements, and commercial processes.
Developing deep understanding of customers’ clinical and economic needs, as well as values and benefits sought. Prioritizes 3.0T business opportunities and builds financial business cases in conjunction with strategic marketing, regional product marketing, finance and product leaders as part of the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
Oversees the NPI process for 3.0T programs, works with NPI program leaders and engineers to serve as the “voice of the customer” during NPI commercialization. Ensures the commercialization of new technology coils meet quality, schedule, regulatory claims, and product cost targets while maximizing speed and efficiency.
Drives variable cost productivity initiatives to improve margins while retaining performance and customer value. Establishes system configurations and offerings to maximize profit.
Manages the SIGNA Premier 3.0T installed-base. Drives quality and service improvements over the product lifecycle and determines end-of-life strategies for older products.
Working with Global Marketing to develop positioning/messaging, sales training materials & collaterals, commercial launch and sales campaigns for NPIs
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Engineering, Business Administration or related field
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in product marketing, MR product sales, or engineering, MR development, or a related field
Strong technical and clinical understanding of MRI technology and its applications
Team oriented. Ability to motivate others and work well with diverse, global and cross-functional teams to shape vision and product strategy
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Strong analytical and finance skills
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States full-time
Must be willing to work in our Waukesha, WI facility full-time
PhD or Master’s degree in MR Physics, Engineering, or related field strongly preferred
MBA or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
7+ years’ experience in product marketing, product development or related field
Customer facing experience via sales, field applications, marketing, and clinical development
Deep Product Management/Marketing expertise, including: market trends/analysis, product commercialization and road-map development, product life-cycle management
Experience with digital analytics including artificial intelligence and machine learning
Healthcare product/industry/technical acumen
