Job Description Summary
The Senior Network Architect will manage the architecture, design and implementation of network and connectivity projects for GE Healthcare Connectivity & Remote Services initiatives with a focus on managing network hardware, designing and improving connectivity designs and champion secure, reliable and scalable network standards for over 350,000+ devices connected globally.
Configure routers, firewalls, load balancer appliances and switches
Respond to escalations from Connectivity and Regional Architecture/Engineering teams and diagnose and troubleshoot problems with customer VPN connections
Build and enhance lab and sandbox environments to provide a stable and functional testing environment for application and IoT device testing
Configure and manage compute solutions to support network devices (PKI, RADIUS, DNS, etc)
Partner with security stakeholders to ensure security best-practices are followed and understood
Collaborate with application stakeholders to build and enhance current and future designs to support new technologies as they are introduced to the network
Align on-premises hardware with cloud appliances and compute
Document network designs to be consumed by stakeholders while establishing a reference architecture to be shared with others in the organization
Evaluate partners and vendors to support the changing needs of the organization
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
5 years of network design and implementation experience
Strong Cisco network hardware experience and supporting certifications (CCNP, CCIE)
Palo Alto Next-Generation firewall configuration experience
Packet capture analysis experience for troubleshooting
Network configuration automation with tools such as ansible
Cloud software-defined networking experience with AWS and/or Azure
Experience supporting Linux and Windows systems for compute needs
Router Virtualization experience
The salary range for this position is $89-134k. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include health, welfare, retirement and paid leave
