Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
Define product and systems requirements, specifications and flow down, including requirements for the module, component, subcontractors and external partners. Define systems image quality acceptance criteria to adhere to customer requirements and expectations. Evaluate image quality of system features with complex designs, including parallel transmit architecture, new integrated coils, and resonance module design changes. Develop methods to quantify subsystem interactions and their effects on image quality. Specify requirements for key system performance parameters as they relate to clinical image quality, including eddy current specs, gradient performance specs, and B1 distortion specs. Serve as a domain expert to lead technical design reviews, technical discussions, and risk mitigations to achieve the optimizations of system performance, image quality, and total cost (design, manufacturing, and service). Ownership and maintenance of some system components (such as phantoms or third part devices). Lead the development of key MR systems features, leveraging a system level design and integration process, with cross-functional (software, hardware, coils, applications, product management, supply chain) collaboration to ensure proper flow down of requirements from the user down to the subsystems.
