General Electric Senior Manager - Materials Center of Excellence in Waukesha, Wisconsin

Role Summary:

The Senior Manager – Materials Center of Excellence leads a global team responsible for materials management across GE Healthcare. This leader sets strategy, standards, & training for global planning and buying activities across the supply chain. This is a both a strategic & operational position & will works closely with materials management groups based within manufacturing sites & region distribution teams. This team interacts heavily with both Sourcing & Value Stream/S&OP organizations.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Develop a long-term planning approach for the factories covering simplification and standardization of inventory management, lean / cycle time reduction, shop floor planning, materials management - integrating to the Sales & Operations Planning cycle.

  2. Deploy and train global teams on standard work & standard tools to achieve fulfillment rates for units, systems & services orders

  3. Work with local teams to drive cycle and inventory reduction and stable workload to leverage productivity

  4. Act as a key leader within the Touchless Order team working cross-functionally with supply chain, sourcing, digital technology, and finance to transform supply chain processes and outcomes.

  5. Influence and support the local teams to reach their business goals

Qualifications/Requirements:

  1. Bachelor degree and 7-10 years experience with proven leadership in manufacturing/service role

  2. Materials management and purchasing expertise

  3. Demonstrated leadership, energizing global teams, and global project management

  4. ERP/MRP Systems experience

  5. Proven ability to drive and manage change initiatives in a matrix environment

  6. Demonstrated ability to deliver results in an ambiguous environment

Desired Characteristics:

  1. Materials site management or distribution fulfilment experience

  2. Masters in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management

  3. Experience in manufacturing program management

  4. Experience in commercial leadership or OTR

  5. Analytics & data science implementation

  6. Lean Leader with consumption based replenishment experience

  7. Six Sigma BB/MBB trained with demonstrated ability to apply tools and process rigor

  8. Sourcing or supplier management experience

  9. Strong interpersonal and influence skills
