General Electric Senior Engineer, CT Systems in Waukesha, Wisconsin

Job Description Summary

This role has the responsibility to design & develop industry leading CT Scanner by delivering customer workflow, feature functionality, product quality, serviceability, manufacturability, regulatory, compliance, & cost. Activities: requirements development & flow down, architecture/system design & analysis, electromechanical component integration, modeling, FMEA, developing/executing system verification/validation test procedures, reliability testing & support to manufacturing & field issues.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities :

Duties include (but are not limited to): • Leading systems feature development and technical risk retirement with systems thinking • Integrate advanced detector technology for next generation CT systems in hardware integrations and calibrations/corrections • Working across functions on XGEN, Detector, Table integrations and system design • Requirements, design and other technical documentation.

• Leading, coordinating and supporting technical reviews. • Define system test strategy and perform hands on product integration and verification activities.

Quality Specific Goals: 1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position 2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines 3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required 4. Support compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before completing Design Outputs/Program Deliverables 5. Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible

Qualifications/Requirements :

  1. Bachelor’s degree in “STEM” majors (Physics, Technology, Engineering and Math) 2. 7+ years relevant work experience 3. Working experience with medical imaging detector technology with calibrations, data acquisition and performance tuning. 4. Electro mechanical system integrations, modeling and analysis 5. Proven ability to develop timely and effective solutions for challenging design problems 6. Proficient in the use of software tools for analysis and simulation (MATLAB, Python, SysML, Simulink) 7. Proficiency in Java/C/C++ programming language 8. Demonstrated ability to pursue tasks to completion 9. Broad exposure to HW/SW/Systems design, and technical depth in one or more engineering disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, Software, etc) and/or in Physics/Math.

U.S. (Country) Specific Qualifications: 10. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States full-time 11. Must be willing to work in our [Waukesha, WI] facility full-time

Desired Characteristics :

  1. PhD in in “STEM” majors (Physics, Technology, Engineering and Math) 2. Advanced CT detector technology work experience 3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills 4. Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task 5. Demonstrated problem solving ability and results orientation
