Role Summary:

Leads a cross-functional and multi-disciplinary team for a large, complex, internal program. Individual leads the team to deliver program objectives to the business, drives clarity by defining and prioritizing the work, and defines critical success factors and deliverables for the team. This position works across team members and stakeholders to communicate risk, deliver a quality product with high impact business results within budget.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility for program team success and impact on the overall business strategy

• Creates and ensures effective and efficient communication across business functions; motivates and energizes the team through leadership

• Works closely with the Leadership team to drive project direction

• Leads cross-functional and/or multi-disciplinary project planning supporting multi-generational projects to support the business strategy

• Works as an equal partner with the internal Business Sponsor to deliver internal project results through to tools, process, systems, structures, compliance, people development, and other nonproduct related objectives

• Solves complex and ambiguous problems while leading the strategic and forward-thinking program execution including (but not limited to) concept discussion, program execution, rollout, training, pilot trials, and successful delivery to the business. Demonstrates ability to work transparently at the business level

• Works with customers to solicit input and feedback to meet quality and customer expectations

• Understands and openly supports all functional goals

• Provides mentoring and coaching to develop cross-functional project leadership talent

• Provides expert guidance and support to the program organization in various technical/functional aspects

• Creates and supports the stewardship of intellectual property with appropriate security of project documentation


• Bachelors Degree within appropriate Engineering/Science discipline or Bachelors Degree and two years of cross-functional Project Leadership experience or equivalent (defined as High School Diploma/GED and four years progressive experience within the discipline).

• Minimum of five years of experience in program management or project leadership within a manufacturing, development, technical industry or research environment

• Demonstrated execution at meeting project goals while satisfying quality, performance, schedule, and budget CTQ’s

• Demonstrated engineering knowledge, program management, and business planning processes, having experience with the full product lifecycle from concept through end of life

• Familiarity with ISO, FDA and other regulatory standards

Desired Characteristics:

• Demonstrated experience driving variable cost productivity (VCP) and Inventory Carrying Value (ICV) reduction to enable optimized product margins

• Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent (defined as 12 years progressive experience within engineering, science, or related field, including 8 years project leadership experience within manufacturing, development, or research development)

• Strategic planner and thinker with ability to drive change across the segment products

• Sound technical and domain experience in at least one functional technology area

• Demonstrated experience on global product releases throughout the entire New Product Introduction cycle

• Strong written and oral communication skills
