General Electric Materials Change Coordinator in Waukesha, Wisconsin

Job Description Summary

As the Materials Change Coordinator, you will be recognized as the lead expert, and influence at the manager level on projects and initiatives. You will coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules, engineering design changes and new product introductions. You will manage product lifecycle from creation of new parts through phase out. This position is located on site in Waukesha, WI.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Manage materials planning, material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs.

  • Ensure operational alignment with production plans and KPIs.

  • Optimize inventory and process improvements.

  • Develop new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organization.

  • Work closely with internal and leadership teams.

  • Specify needs, communicate project approach and present outcomes of research completed.

  • Lead analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches/methods.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or a high school diploma with 4+ years experience in Manufacturing.

  • 3+ years experience in Materials Planning and Execution or Supply Chain, or GE Leadership Program employee or graduate.

Desired Characteristics

  • MBA or Masters Degree.

  • 5+ years experience in Materials Planning and Execution.

  • Certified Black Belt.

  • Oracle knowledge and experience.

  • Lean Manufacturing experience.
