Job Description Summary
Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
Ensure quality targets are satisfied and technical risks retired on New Product Introductions (NPIs). Lead the design team and the design control processes from the requirements development and design planning through design transfer. Lead the design team in the development of verification and validation planning and execution. Develop requirements flow-down, architecture/system design and analysis, risk analysis, integration and test, manufacturing, field and customer support including corrective and preventive actions to ensure customer satisfaction. Leverage knowledge in advanced aspects of technical/functional areas and apply technical theory and practical experience with input from relevant functional areas to solve complex problems. Work with patients and customers, as well as, program leadership to ensure that the program deliverables are consistent with the goals of larger initiatives.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering, and 4 years of experience in a related occupation required. The position also requires: 2 years experience in project leadership within a manufacturing, development, or research environment; 2 years experience driving Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) flow-down to subsystems; 2 years experience working with technical leadership team to implement product platform/subsystem multi-generation technology plan for a specific release of a global program/product; and 2 years experience with HW/SW/Systems design and technical depth in one or more engineering disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, Software, etc). Up to 15% travel to domestic and international worksites for the development work of software based programs is required. Coordinate and work with application development teams to develop medical device software for different CT scanners.
