Job Description Summary
Responsible for driving financial and operational oversight for lifecycle solutions segment within the Global Services organization, including repairs and goldseal. Responsibilities include partnering with operations to drive financial performance: financial and operational controls, process improvement and simplification via Lean and operational excellence to deliver performance and also accurate actual financial reporting and analysis. Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.

Roles and Responsibilities
Manage and lead a team of two Plant Financial analysts
Support operating mechanisms, helping run the business with more accountability and visibility, and driving culture and results around profitability and growth
Help product management drive profitable growth by providing analysis of results and reporting key metrics including product and program investment and returns
Consolidate and prepare management reporting (consolidated and segment P&Ls) and communicate results to global product team
Provide necessary analytics to highlight key business performance drivers; Identifying risks and opportunities throughout the quarter and help develop processes to mitigate risks while capitalizing on opportunities
Responsible for monthly, quarterly, annual Accounting closing processes
Responsible for managing cost center structure and driving One Product Hierarchy maintenance
Contribute to improving efficiencies and performance using Lean as well as providing quality financial information to drive productivity and profitability
Participate in simplification projects that will facilitate and increase capacity for value-added financial analysis
Developing specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest functional developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensures delivery within area of responsibility.

Minimum of a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s) OR a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration with Minimum of 4 years OR Master's degree with minimum of 6 years financial work experience.
Strong analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
Clear thinking / problem solving: successfully led cross-functional projects/process improvement within operations/finance function involving process improvement; able to quickly grasp new ideas
Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in a easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing
Motivated team player with an execution driven mindset
Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, Business Objects, Spotfire etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, VLookup etc.)
Confidence / Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions; confidence to approach business leaders with difficult messages and defend position; for example, work closely with business leaders to achieve business objectives while driving controllership/GE Values
Experience successfully leading cross-functional projects and process improvement within the operations/finance functions; able to quickly grasp new ideas.
